## Game Preview: Bellevue West Leaves Home Bellevue West football team is preparing for its first away game of the season. The Thunderbirds will travel to Omaha North on Friday night. The Vikings are coming off of a disappointing loss to Lincoln Southwest in their season opener. Bellevue, on the other hand, is 1-0 after defeating Papillion-LaVista last week. The Thunderbirds will be without senior quarterback Jake Curry, who suffered a sprained ankle in last week's game. Curry is expected to miss 2-3 weeks. Junior Marcus Lowry will start in his place. Bellevue West will be hoping to improve its passing game, which was inconsistent last week. The Thunderbirds completed just 50% of their passes and threw two interceptions. The Vikings are led by quarterback Anthony Grant, who threw for over 200 yards and two touchdowns last week. Grant is also a threat to run, rushing for over 50 yards last week. The Thunderbirds will need to be able to contain Grant and the Vikings' offense if they want to win on Friday night. The Bellevue West defense will be led by senior linebacker Josh Bulderson, who had 10 tackles last week. The game is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. at Omaha North High School.
