Aussie Paralympians Caught in Bus Farce en Route to Swimming Pool

Paralympians stranded on bus for hours

Athletes miss training session due to transport delay

SYDNEY, Australia - Australian Paralympians were left stranded on a bus for hours on Tuesday after their vehicle broke down en route to a swimming pool training session.

The incident occurred in the lead-up to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, which are scheduled to begin on August 24.

The Australian Paralympic Committee (APC) confirmed the incident in a statement, saying that the bus carrying the athletes broke down on the way to the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.

The athletes were eventually transferred to another bus and arrived at the pool more than two hours late.

The APC said that the incident was "frustrating" for the athletes, but that they were all safe and well.

"The team is now safely at the pool and will continue their training program as planned," the APC said.

The incident has highlighted the challenges faced by Paralympians in the lead-up to the Games.

Many of the athletes have to travel long distances to training venues and competitions, and they often rely on public transport.

The APC said that it was working with transport authorities to ensure that the athletes have reliable transport during the Games.

"We are working closely with the relevant authorities to ensure that our athletes have the best possible support in the lead-up to and during the Games," the APC said.
